Throughout history, single parenthood has been a reality for children, though its prevalence and societal perception have varied greatly. High mortality rates due to disease, war, and accidents led to single parenthood for many children. Widows and widowers often raised children alone, sometimes with support from extended family or communities. Unmarried mothers faced significant stigma and social isolation, were often forced to give up their children for adoption, or faced harsh living conditions.
Let us go forward in this battle fortified by conviction that those who labour in the service of a great and good cause will never fail.
What We Do
We go all out to support Kids and single parents in Kumasi and other regions of Ghana in various ways.
Capacity building
We meet quarterly to train and motivate parents of children with special needs to be creative in terms of using locally available materials to generate value-added products to support their financials needs
Awareness Creation
We educate and create awareness on children with special needs (Cerebral Palsy) to debunk the myths on these children the societies have about them.
Public Healthcare
Hand-in-hand with the districts in Kumasi and its environs, we liaise with professionals around the disability spaces to provide basic health screening, health talks on management and preventive measures to reduce or curb the occurrences of special needs children (Cerebral Palsy) cases.
We network with communities and individuals
We solicit for funding for our projects
We provide short term relief for our caregivers
We do TV/Radio broadcasting too
